Eat chocolate, peanut butter and dessert and still lose 2 – 5 pounds per week in our medical weight loss program. Yes, you did read that correctly – you can eat delicious desserts and still lose weight in our medically supervised weight loss program.

Hi everyone this is Dr. Kenny. And if you are one of our patients or if you are looking to be a part of our medical weight loss program and you are looking through this website you probably read one of my articles titled “Confessions Of a Medical Weight Loss Doctor”.

In that article I discussed with you that I was diagnosed with diabetes a few months ago and how over the past months I have been able to decrease my blood sugar levels and lose a significant amount of weight at the same time.

I want you to know that I have still been able to eat delicious food and even various sugar-free desserts while losing weight and decreasing my blood sugar levels.

So in my continued efforts to make our weight loss program simple and delicious at the same time I am even more determined to find recipes that will help us all lose weight and maintain that weight loss. With all that being said here are a few of the delicious dessert recipes that I have been enjoying over the past months. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

Chocolate Blast

  • 1 cup of melted coconut oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon of Stevia Vitruvian
  • 1/2 – 1 teaspoon of sea salt
  • 4 tablespoons of unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup of almond butter
  • 2 tablespoons of grass fed butter
  • optional additions – almonds and unsweetened coconut
  • Paper cupcake liners

Mix all of the ingredients into a food processor until it smooth. Then pour the mixture into paper cupcake liners. You can sprinkle in almonds either whole or sliced and coconut shreds. Top with a touch of sea salt if desired. Refrigerate until solid and store in the refrigerator.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups

This is so delicious. You have to make the chocolate and peanut butter separately for this recipe but it is totally worth it.

Peanut Butter Filling

  • 2 tablespoons Vitol brand egg powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • ¾ teaspoon stevia
  • 1 tablespoon xylitol
  • ¼ cup Valencia peanut butter
  • 1 tablespoon butter, softened

  • 1 stick organic butter
  • ¼ cup cocoa powder
  • 2 teaspoons Stevita brand stevia
  • ½ cup xylitol
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup Valencia peanut butter

Directions: Combine egg powder, salt, stevia and xylitol. In a separate bowl mix the peanut butter and butter together. Add the egg powder mixture to the peanut butter. Then stir until everything is smooth. Then pour enough chocolate in cupcake paper to coat bottom of paper. Spoon a little of the peanut butter on top and then cover with more of the chocolate mixture. You have to keep these in the  refrigerator.

I hope you enjoy these recipes. They do take a little bit of time to make but they are definitely worth it because they are delicious.

Stop The Insane Crazy Exercises & Workouts – Learn Simple & Easy Weight Loss Exercises

Stop the crazy work outs!
Hello everyone this is Dr. Kenny and I am pleading with you to please stop the insanity and stop injuring yourself with these crazy high intensity workouts that promise you a tremendous amount of weight loss and Beach body in 30 days or less. Now I am telling you that it is possible to lose a significant amount of weight in 30 days but I am also telling you that you do not have to kill yourself in order to lose the weight. It is possible to lose weight safely and sensibly without hurting yourself and that's what our program is about.
The reason I am writing this article is because each and every day when I am working with our weight loss patients and I am customizing a simple and easy diet and exercise program for them more often than not they tell me that they had injured themselves either while exercising with a DVD program that they bought after seeing an infomercial on television or working with an inexperienced trainer who had the best intentions but pushed them to the extreme and they hurt themselves.
 In order to lose weight:
  • You do not have to exercise like an insane person performing super high intensity exercises each and every day.
  • You do not have to run 10 miles each and every day.
  • You do not have to starve yourself.
  • You do not have to have an expensive gym membership.
  • You do not have to spend a fortune on personal trainers.
  • You do know have to have fancy expensive exercise equipment.
  • You do not have to spend money on the latest and greatest exercise DVDs.
  • You do not have to push yourself to the point where you actually cause yourself harm by injuring yourself.
  • You do not have to spend a fortune on weight loss supplements and fat burners and all that other stuff that you see promoted on television and sold online and in stores that are in our local malls.
It's sad, but people come into our medical weight loss center and tell me all of the wonderful supplements that they are taking and the advice that they are getting from the salespeople working at the nutritional supplement stores. The problem is that they are spending quite a bit of money at the stores in the hopes of buying a product that will help them lose weight but the sad fact is that are still overweight.
Their body is still over weight but their pockets are much lighter.
Their pockets are much later because they are spending money on inferior nutritional supplements.
Sadly, the nutritional company can sell a product that only contains a 1 to 3 percent of the nutritional product that is on the label of the bottle and the rest of the you are taking can be just filler products.
Just because I am curious I ask them what type of graduate degree does the person selling this product have. Most of the time I am told that the person that sold them the nutritional supplement and gave them all this fantastic advice is a high school or college kid and that they had a tremendous physique.
Well, I have nothing against high school or college kids because I have children that are in high school and in college. But let me tell you when you are in high school and in college your body's hormones are at their peak. And this means that during those high school and college years you can almost eat anything and just do a little bit of exercise and still have a great body.
Sadly as we get older it gets a bit more difficult to eat whatever we want and still have a tremendous Beach body physique. At the age of 49 my body doesn't recover from the crazy exercise routines that I did when I was a much younger man.
Past the age of 30 our body's chemistry and hormonal levels decrease. This means that we do not heal as quickly as we did when we were in our teens and 20s. So this means when you do all of those crazy super high intensity exercises you are just going to hurt herself if you are over 30 years old.
But I am happy to tell you that you can still lose weight and be in great shape if you just exercise and eat smart.
In our medical weight loss center we help people that have to lose hundreds of pounds as well as people that only have to lose 30 to 50 pounds.
So it's just common sense, at least to me, that a person who has 100 pounds to lose is not going to do the same exercise program as a person that has to lose 50 pounds.
The fact is that the majority of our patients start with just a simple walking program and they lose a tremendous amount of weight and they don't hurt themselves.
So please if you are thinking of spending money on one of those crazy exercise DVDs, don't!

Guide To Successful Weight Loss

In our weight-loss program it is recommended that you eat your first meal within the first 60 minutes of waking up. This is important because this first meal will provide fuel for your body to carry on throughout the day. If you do not eat within the first 60 minutes of waking up it will adversely affect the hormonal and chemical systems of your body. Your body will actually think that you are starving and as such you will tend to store the calories consumed throughout the rest of the day as fat. If you are not a breakfast person you may just eat a cup of sugar free yogurt and a cup of fruit or one of our Meal Replacement Shakes. Now remember just eating fruit alone is not recommended. You must have a small portion of protein for breakfast in order to set your body in fat burning mode for the day. This is why the Meal Replacement shake is ideal.

After breakfast I would recommend that you eat a meal or snack every 3 to 4 hours.

It is also recommended that you do not eat past 7 PM or 8 PM. This is because the mobility of the stomach tends to decrease significantly after 7 PM. Therefore, the majority of the calories consumed past 7 PM are usually stored as fat on the body. If you must eat past 7 PM I would ask that you eat vegetables and a very lean protein. Do not eat starch carbohydrates containing any type of flour or wheat.

In addition to your recommended diet / nutritional food program I would ask that you try to eat 2 pounds of vegetables daily. I would suggest that you eat 1 pound of raw vegetables and 1 pound of cooked vegetables. Raw vegetables include leafy green vegetables, lettuces, spinach, celery, cucumbers, etc. One or two large salads during the day will make it easy to consume a pound of raw vegetables daily. I also recommend that each every day you have with you a Ziploc bag filled with celery, carrots, cucumbers, peppers and any other types of vegetables that you enjoy. Now if you do get hungry during the day just open up your Ziploc bag and you can eat as many of these vegetables as you would like.

7 to 9 hours of sleep are recommended each every night. This is because your body actually metabolizes or burns your fat while you are sleeping. So if you do not have an adequate amount of sleep you will not burn as much fat and you will not lose as much weight as you should be losing on this program.

A common side effect of the medication is constipation. If you do experience constipation Miralax is recommended as well as sugar-free Metamucel.

It is also recommended that you drink approximately 64 ounces of water every day.

The following teas are recommended to assist with your weight loss: Yerbamate assists in metabolizing fat, Green Tea assist in metabolizing fat and Eleotin. Start by just drinking one cup of tea a day of any of the three teas listed. You can add more cups of tea if you would like.

Instead of skipping a meal have – Herbalogica Meal Replacement Shake – You need to eat to lose weight.

Foods to Avoid:

Stay away from all types of cream in your coffee because cream has a tremendous amount of calories. Avoid all types of sugar. As long as there is any type of sugar in your body your body will not burn fat. Avoid dried fruit as it contains empty calories and a tremendous amount of sugar. Fruit juice purchased at the store must say no sugar added. I would prefer that you only drink freshly squeezed juices. Alcohol is to be avoided. Alcohol adversely affects your liver and other systems of the body and can actually inhibit the fat burning systems of your body for several days. Do not eat any type of food containing wheat, flour or rice past 7 PM. Slim fast is not recommended contains lots of sugar.
